Our mission is to meet our students and their families with reverence and compassion; and to educate them wholly, awakening their full potential as unique individuals, so that they may be actively involved in life and engaged in community.
Our vision is to establish a new integrated life-sharing urban village where differently-abled people live, learn and work.
In response to recent demand and projected growth, the Town Center Project will expand our facilities and create a hub for our new 'urban village'.
Raphael Village will provide education, job and life-skills training, social opportunities, and supported living.
The hub, our town center, will include additional classrooms, an artist guild, community performance space and a café.
Raphael Village is and Affiliate member of the Camphill Association of North America who have been life-sharing with individuals with disabilities for the past sixty years in the United States www.camphill.org/. We aspire to evolve this life-sharing model by embedding it into the heart of New Orleans, offering a fully integrated community setting where individuals with disabilities are not only contributing members, but also valued members of society in which they live and work.
